INDOOR RANGE OUTLINE AND RULES
Gun club badge must be worn at all times when on gun club property! No Drugs or Alcohol are ever permitted on gun club property!!
Opening the Range
Enter Range, turn on lights, place your car key on thermostat if using HEAT or AC – you won’t go home without turning it OFF!! If you are leaving and heat or AC is on, ask a remaining shooter to place his key on thermostat or shut it OFF if they don’t cooperate
MAKE SURE ALL PRESENT WEAR EAR & EYE PROTECTION
Use the Range Commands posted on the cork board when more than one person present
The Range Commands explain when and how to make the line Safe before you ask shooters to step back from the line so you can inspect it
If someone is there ahead of you shooting, wait until a cease fire or place your ear & eye protection on before entering
If more than one group shooting, take turns being the Range Officer to allow all but one to shoot each round
When shooting alone (or when others come in to shoot):
YOU MUST BE THE RANGE OFFICER!!!
YOU MUST CONTROL THE FIRING LINE!
(tip – place 1-6 benches down)
YOU MUST MAKE THE FIRING LINE SAFE & INSPECT – BEFORE YOU TURN ON “RED LIGHT” TO ALLOW SHOOTERS GO FORWARD AND POLICE TARGET AND RETRIEVE BRASS
AFTER ALL ARE BEHIND FIRING LINE –
TURN OFF “RED LIGHT” AND FOLLOW COMMANDS
POSTED ON CORK BOARD
DURING ALL SHOOTING MUZZLES MUST BE PARALLEL TO THE FLOOR OR SLIGHTLY DOWN!!!
CLOSE UP SHOOTING: clip sticks to overhead baffles in marked spots
SHORT STICKS FOR STANDING, NOT For SHOOTING FROM BENCH
LONG STICKS FOR BENCH SHOOTING OR STANDING SHORTER SHOOTERS TO MAINTAIN MUZZLE PARALLEL FLOOR
REPORT ANY DAMAGE FOUND OR DONE TO THE RANGE TO A CHIEF INDOOR RANGE OFFICER (JOHN HAAS OR SHANE PSALTIS @ firstname.lastname@example.org)
Police targets and brass (broom when necessary)
IF TRASH CAN NEEDS EMPTYING TAKE IT TO DUMPSTER!!!
DO NOT EMPTY IN KITCHEN GARBAGE CAN!!!
Turn off heat or AC, all lights, and lock up Indoor Range
Sign out and make sure Clubhouse is Locked
RULES AND REGULATIONS
HOURS OF OPERATION:
9am-10pm you can shoot all calibers (up to 45acp)
10:01pm-9am 22 only at this time
No plus p or mag loads allowed
Jacketed ammo and lead are ok
No larger than 45 acp
We would like to see no larger than 12×18 targets used at the range.
Targets are available for purchase at the range. Please put money in holder provided.
You may shoot all calibers up to 45 including 22 rimfire rifles (50 feet only for rifles)
If you break any target clips please replace them, they are in drawer. This is your range please take care of it.
